Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment agrees Kambi Group deal for Ontario
American tribal casino operator Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment has announced the inking of an alliance that is to see its Fallsview Casino Resort venue in Canada utilize the mobile-friendly online sportsbetting platform from Kambi Group.
The enterprise of the federally-recognized Mohegan Tribe used an official Tuesday press release to detail that the multi-year arrangement will involve the Ontario property launching a PlayFallsview-branded online sportsbook exploiting the iGaming platform from Kambi Group. The operator also stated that this advance is to come complete with an ‘unparalleled ice hockey product’ as well as the Bet Builder capability that allows punters to construct individualized wagers.
Canada concern:
Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment explained that the signing of the deal follows the launch from last month of a regulated iGaming market in the most populous Canadian province as well as its new partner’s receipt in March of a supplier license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The Connecticut-based enterprise took over operations at the 372-room Fallsview Casino Resort and the nearby Casino Niagara in 2018 after agreeing a 21-year ‘Niagara Gaming Bundle’ management contract with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
Earlier endeavor:
Rich Roberts from Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment used the press release to disclose that his company signed an arrangement with Kambi Group in 2019 that was to have seen the pair premiere an online sportsbook for punters in the former firm’s home state of Connecticut. However, he noted that this deal later unravelled before his enterprise launched a mobile-friendly advance in partnership with rival supplier FanDuel Group.

Once launched, this will mark our first online mobile gaming product outside of the United States and we’re really looking forward to our partnership with Kambi Group on this new venture.”
Prominent pioneer:
For his part and the Chief Executive Officer for Malta-based Kambi Group, Kristian Nylen, described his enterprise as ‘a provider of premium sportsbetting services’ that are already utilized by over 40 iGaming operators in 17 American states including New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
